Ruba*

Save the Children staff member in the West Bank

Mona*, 12, walks to school with her school bag on her back

Mona*, 12, lives in a rural village in the West Bank where her school and community have been repeatedly attacked by settlers. She describes how fear and violence have disrupted her education and taken away the joy of simple childhood moments, like celebrating Eid. Despite this, Mona* dreams of continuing her studies, memorising the Quran, and one day helping to bring peace. With support from Save the Children, she now has a safer space to play and connect with other children through her local youth club.
