On 26 August 2026, Save the Children Vietnam was proud to be recognised in the Digital Content Creator for Children category at the Vietnam Digital Content Creation Awards 2026 (VCA) for the “Happy Read” application.

Ho Chi Minh City, 18 August 2026 – The Ho Chi Minh City Association for the Protection of Children’s Rights (HACR), in collaboration with Save the Children in Viet Nam (Save the Children), organised the Closing Workshop for the “Girls Unstoppable” component under the project “Connecting and Providing Support Services to Ensure the Rights of Children in Special Circumstances in Ho Chi Minh City.”The event brought together 90 representatives from government agencies, participating schools, teachers, parents, students and other stakeholders.

On 30 July 2026, Save the Children Vietnam, in collaboration with the People's Committee of Dak Lak Province, convened the workshop "Strengthening Partnerships and Sharing Experiences in Development and Humanitarian Programming" in Dak Lak Province.

Article on more than 30 years of partnership between Save the Children and Ho Chi Minh City released on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the city named after President Ho Chi Minh.

Save the Children is launching a child-focused €4.5 million regional initiative funded by the European Union to save lives ahead of climate-fueled emergencies in Southeast Asia. Working with partners and governments, the programme will help communities, schools, and local authorities across Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam turn early warnings into early action, protecting children and families before floods, storms, and other extreme weather events become disasters.

Save the Children has worked closely with local authorities and partners in Dong Thap and the former Tien Giang Province, now part of Dong Thap Province, to improve learning environments and expand development opportunities for children and young people.

Communication event series “Child Protection, Injury Prevention and Online Safety” were organized at 119 schools in Lao Cai.

On 5 June 2026, in Ho Chi Minh City, Save the Children, in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Association for the Protection of Children's Rights (HACR), organised the exchange programme “Outstanding Girls’ Clubs – Connecting and Inspiring”. The event was held under the project “Girls Unstoppable” for the 2025–2026 period, aiming to promote children’s meaningful participation, especially that of girls, in the school environment.

Save the Children recently joined the launch of the Programme on Protecting and Supporting Children to Thrive in the Digital Environment (2026–2030), an important milestone in the collective effort to create a safer, more inclusive and child-centred digital environment for children in Viet Nam.
