Activities: The project aims to develop and disseminate a 16 session climate awareness, resilience and emergency education programme for children in three languages (Turkish, English,Arabic). The modules and family guidebooks were developed in collaboration with a team of experts. After piloting the programme with children in Sultanbeyli with our partner, according to feedback the modules were finalized. The finalized modules will be rolled out nationwide, with collaboration of AFAD, through Training of Trainers sessions for Ministry of Education (MoNE) and AFAD staff. The Climate and Emergency Resilience Day event took place in Sultanbeyli with 500 children and provided open access to family guidebooks. 

Key Activites of the Project:
•    Developing 16 modules for children 4-8 in three languages.
•    Developing family/caregiver guidebooks on climate awareness, resilience, and emergency preparedness.
•    Organizing a workshop with NGO workers and educators to refine modules and guidebooks before piloting.
•    Piloting the modules with 50 children and finalizing content based on feedback.
•    Translation finalized materials into English and Arabic and making them publicly avaliable online.
•    Delivering ToT sessions to MoNE and AFAD staff to support nationwide dissemination.
•    Organizing “Climate and Emergency Resilience Day” for 500 children. Distributing family guidebooks to the attendee for children.
•    Implementation of an advocacy campaign on social media, featuring posts that highlight key messages about climate awareness and emergency preparedness.

Criteria: This project targets children aged 4–8 living in and around Sultanbeyli for the festival; children aged 4–8 living across Türkiye for the modules.
