ONGOING PROJECTS
Ongoing Projects
Emergency Preparedness and School Safety
The project aims to strengthen the resilience of Istanbul’s education system to disasters and to integrate inclusive emergency preparedness and education process into the school environment. It will be based on Save the Children’s Safe Schools common approach, which forms the organizations institutional framework. The project will also implement child-led activities to support active participation, encouraging children to advocate for their own safety and wellbeing.
IMPROVING EARLY LEARNING AND WELL-BEING FOR CHILDREN IN POST-EARTHQUAKE HATAY
This project aims to strengthen early learning and well-being for children aged 3–6 in Hatay through an inclusive, play-based Early Childhood Development (ECD) intervention. It develops contextualized ECD resources, delivers structured play-based sessions for children, and supports caregivers through the Ready to Learn @ Home approach, focusing on responsive caregiving, positive parenting, and home-based learning.
Economic Resillience for Earthquake Affected Population in Hatay
This project aims to strengthen the employability, economic resilience, and psychosocial well-being of the youth aged 18–35 (with flexibility to adjust to 16–40 years based on field needs) affected by the February 6 earthquakes in Hatay, while simultaneously enhancing the capacity of Antakya Municipality (the partner) and local stakeholders to sustainably deliver livelihood, MHPSS, and referral services for youth.
