The April to June 2026 edition of Voices of Tanzania captures a quarter of action, partnership, and impact across Save the Children Tanzania’s programmes.
This issue highlights the launch of the Break the Silence project in Zanzibar, strengthening efforts to prevent violence against children and improve access to survivor-centred services. It also showcases the Vijana Plus Project, where more than TZS 720 million in seed funding is supporting 12 youth-led civil society organisations to turn innovative ideas into practical solutions for their communities.
The newsletter also features a new partnership to expand quality Early Childhood Development in Zanzibar, climate-smart goat farming to strengthen household nutrition and resilience, efforts to promote positive discipline in schools, and skills development for young people through the SEED Project.
Beyond programme milestones, this edition brings forward the voices and experiences of children, families, young people, and local organisations. It includes impact stories on menstrual health and education, household resilience, and locally led development, alongside advocacy and campaigns on children’s rights, road safety, and the Day of the African Child 2026.
